"Speech and debate skills- researching, giving a reasoned argument, communicating clearly with serve you professionally and socially for the rest of your life." If you are a quick thinker, persuasive arguer and like to speak publicly about things then these types of jobs are for you!
Government- Members of congress argue all the time... you can take your parliamentary debate skills into the thick of the action if citizens elect you.
Acting- Presenting yourself with confidence is a key must in acting especially in front of crowds! Even this guy who plays on Ugly Betty was a speech competition champ at his high school!
Sales- In sales persuasion is the number 1 key element of a sales person. Your speech background will help you pitch with confidence.
Broadcasting- Broadcasting journalists have a limited amount of time to tell a story to an unlimited audience, they need to be clear and concise also credible.
Law- Trail lawyers use well crafted arguments to make their case. Debate skills also help judges, mediators, and arbitrations understand both sides of a dispute and come up with a reasonable outcome.
counseling- This involves listening well and communicating well with the basic role of a good counselor.
Corporate trainer- When businesses need some one to help them train people how to use new software and how to generally do their jobs they call a trainer. Trainers need to be clear and to the point about what is needed to be done and what is expected.
Speech writing- You can write speeches for government and business officials, these people arrange facts and ideas into persuasive arguments and are inspirational.
Library- this is important to know how to tell a story to kids and what ever this one seemed lame to me no real librarian will take the time away from sorting books to read to kids or explain what the stories about. Maybe just be snooty about explaining how to find a specific book thats all!
Public relations- to be a public face for businesses, schools, a government, or another organization it takes speech savvy. But i think it would be hard having to deal with peoples back lash on you when it may not be your fault when your just the "face of the organization."

I thought that this article was very interesting to read because this girl turned her hobby into her dream job. She liked making websites while in high school and doing clay animation which she sure to juggle while going to school. She then thought of an idea of combining the two. I think this was a cool way to do what you love and have fun doing it. She is now the CEO of her own company and she is the youngest person there. She tells her editors that right reviews not to interact with sales people and the companies that they are working with so that they that there is no bias! I think this was cool it was interesting that this girl could do all that she did like come up with her own company and actually have people work under her! that's great!
Workin on da railroad

I thought that this article was interesting it started out by talking about how this one chick worked during 9/11 and how she felt about helping people get out of that situation. I thought that was interesting because most people wouldn't think that this type of job would be so moving.
This lady says the enjoys her job because she gets to do many different things mainly involving communication between people like answering questions, taking tickets, collecting fares, and making sure that the ride to where ever it is these people need to go is safe! These people do a lot of things to make sure that everything runs smoothly. Like, coordinate the crews activities, make sure the train is working properly, from the doors to da lights. Also there are jobs in this field that don't require you to work on the train. Yardsmasters coordinate traffic which means that they figure out when to make up or break up trains, they switch the flow as needed. These types of jobs have a lot of responsibilities.
Now a days there are a lot of jobs out there dealing with this type of field. They also have a very good health plan which is said to pay 90% of employee health-care costs. They also have very good pay. I wish i could go do that... but we don't have any type of railroad system out there...

This Article talks about how this one lady she sometimes works in her office and how stressful trying to beat traffic and such it hard. But then there are days that she stays home and works right from here couch in here living room! I think that this is a very cool idea. But then telecommuters don't get such good pay i know from sims.
Telecommuting has grown very well since the 1980's when the original reason was an energy crisis, transportation issues, and environmental concerns. Today the reason is for the ability to balance work issues, drive workers, to choose telecommuting even if it is just part time.
Working from home shows that your company trust you but you have to show results.

This article was very interesting. I think that this chicks job is cool. I would like to to work on a web site and do all the things that she does. This girl works for The-N.com The net work that airs Degrassi! cool... lol. She does a lot of different things like coding in HTML, she does some design in photo shop and flash She also does a lot of writing and interactive work with users. I would like to do something a long those lines of dealing with web sites the internet but involving writing, i like to write. She seems like she has a very cool job and does a lot of interesting things. But i think it would be hard dealing with the constant up dates of the web site always finding new things always keep the people interested. That sounds like a difficult job!

This was cool to read I have seen that totally cool movie hackers, but this is totally different. Like this hackers are trying to get into our systems and like mess them up! I think that this is crazy because the air force has its own Cyber Cammand, which is a group of security experts and civilians that defend against enemies on the digital frontier. What a trip huh?
yea well anyway i guess these specialists can also go out and chase criminals in different countries and catch the bad guys in a few days from when the worm infects major computers. Thats cool. They can also go out and solve crimes because they can uncover files that have been deleted and encrypted and trace the history of those files! wow very cool man! They put away this dude that was looking up information about how to kill a person and get away with it and how to use poisons and stuff like that! Good job dudes!
These specialists also are worried about there being a cyber pearl harbor because our systems are vulnerable! That would really be crazy huh? I don't know what would happen if that would ... um happen. But i hope these dudes keep up the good work and stop these criminals in their tracks or even before they do anything!

I mean they did research on des kids that maybe were from like some where that don't really know how to use the internet on research and then they go and base this so called research to identify all teens don't know how to use the internet when hello there are more then these few kids that can really get down with da internet... i personally know a lot! so i thought this was very uncool.
The it factor
